KZT 14 Billion Investment: Korean Medical Center Opens in Almaty
On October 17, 2025, the Chairman of the Management Board of Almaty Invest, A. Shovkoplyas, took part in the official opening ceremony of Open Healthcare Korean Medical Center Almaty — a modern medical center established based on advanced South Korean expertise.
In his remarks, A. Shovkoplyas emphasized the strategic importance of the project for the development of the city’s medical infrastructure, the introduction of innovative technologies, and the strengthening of international cooperation in the healthcare sector.
The total investment in the project amounted to KZT 14 billion, and its implementation created 250 jobs, making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Almaty.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Zh. Abdrashov, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, Ha Tae Uk, as well as representatives of the business community and medical organizations of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
The opening of the center represents not only an investment in infrastructure but also a new stage in Kazakhstan–Korea partnership aimed at developing modern medicine and improving the quality of healthcare services.
