ALMATY ON THE PATH TO BECOMING CENTRAL ASIA’S DIGITAL AND LOGISTICS HUB

Almaty Invest and Guolian Shares Develop a Digital Platform for Industrial Trade, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management

As part of its investment attraction efforts, Almaty Invest, together with the Chinese company Guolian Shares (Beijing United Information Technology Co., Ltd.), is developing a project to establish a next-generation digital platform for industrial trade, logistics, and supply chain management.

The project’s core objective is to make supply chains more transparent, efficient, and reliable.

The platform will enable manufacturers to sell their products directly to customers, significantly reducing the number of intermediaries. This approach will shorten delivery times, lower product costs, and ensure greater transparency throughout the procurement process.

The platform is primarily designed for industrial enterprises and manufacturers, allowing them to market their products directly. Participation will require compliance with strict quality standards. Manufacturers must possess the necessary quality certifications and regulatory documentation before being admitted to the platform. This approach will help build a trusted supplier ecosystem while increasing buyer confidence in the quality of purchased products.

Using advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the platform will track every shipment from the manufacturer to the end customer. The system will analyze product quality, generate supplier ratings, identify unreliable market participants, and significantly reduce the risk of defective products entering the supply chain.

Another key component of the initiative is the development of modern logistics infrastructure. The project includes the construction of a 20-hectare Class A high-tech logistics hub, equipped with advanced digital solutions. It is expected to become one of the largest logistics complexes in the region, substantially improving cargo handling efficiency and delivery speed. In the long term, the project is expected to strengthen Almaty’s position as one of Central Asia’s leading logistics and digital hubs.

In addition, the project предусматривает the development of data centers, AI computing infrastructure, cloud services, and other advanced digital solutions, further reinforcing Almaty’s status as one of the region’s leading technology and innovation hubs.

According to Guolian Shares, the implementation of the platform has already delivered significant results in existing industrial projects: productivity has increased by more than 57%, equipment efficiency by 33%, delivery times have been reduced by 30%, energy consumption by nearly 17%, while logistics and operating costs have been substantially lowered. At certain manufacturing facilities in China, similar digital solutions have also reduced product defect rates to nearly zero.

Today, the management of Almaty Invest reviewed the final stage of the platform’s testing. Company representatives demonstrated the system’s core functionality and confirmed its readiness for the official launch, scheduled for July 2026.
