The first butterfly park in the CIS will appear in Almaty.

A unique project — a live butterfly park — is planned to be implemented in Almaty with the participation of the Turkish investor Demed Group. A corresponding Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the city, represented by Almaty Invest.
The project предусматривает the creation of a modern indoor space featuring an exhibition of live butterflies, as well as educational and research areas and visitor infrastructure. The project has no analogues in the CIS countries.
The investment volume is expected to amount to approximately USD 20 million. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of tourism, creative industries, and environmental education, as well as to the creation of new jobs.
