ALMATY DOWNTOWN SET TO BECOME ALMATY'S NEW CENTER OF BUSINESS ACTIVITY

As part of its systematic investment attraction efforts, Almaty Invest continues to support the projects of the Chinese company Beijing Fuxing Yihua Technology Co., Ltd., working closely with the investor to develop implementation mechanisms and facilitate coordination with government authorities.

During the latest working meeting, the parties reviewed the current status of ongoing initiatives, discussed the next stages of implementation, and paid particular attention to the construction of a mixed-use development within the future Almaty Downtown project in the Sairan district.

It is worth recalling that the Memorandum of Cooperation with Beijing Fuxing Yihua Technology Co., Ltd. was signed during the Almaty–Shanghai Forum in April 2026, with the participation of the Mayor of Almaty and the Mayor of Shanghai. Since then, the company’s investment projects have been under the continuous support of Almaty Invest.

One of the projects currently being implemented is the establishment of a Metallurgical Engineering Laboratory within the Almaty Industrial Zone. The laboratory will specialize in mineral raw material analysis, mineral processing tests, and the development of advanced metallurgical technologies.

Another key area of cooperation is the development of a mixed-use complex in the Sairan district. The project includes the construction of a five-star hotel, business centers, and a shopping complex, with an estimated investment of USD 50–100 million. Implementation is scheduled for 2026–2028.

Once completed, Almaty Downtown is expected to become one of the city’s principal business and public activity centers, contributing to the comprehensive redevelopment of the Sairan area and the creation of a modern urban environment.
